I kept seeing brake disc lamps everywhere. At some point I thought: if I’m going to make one, I want it to be built around an actual motorcycle brake disc. That idea stayed in the back of my mind until I was working around my Honda CBR600RR. I had an old front brake disc from the bike — a part that had already done its job on the road, seen heat, miles, braking force, and all the little marks that only real use leaves behind.
