Inspired by all the great engine models, I designed a 1:30 scale three-shaft turboprop engine model inspired by the TP400 (A400M). The model includes the gas generator, burner, turbine stages, reduction gearbox, and propeller assembly, all made to be almost fully 3D-printed with just a few M3 bolts—no bearings or extra hardware needed. It’s movable and shows how the turbine and low-pressure shafts drive the planetary gearbox to turn the prop.

As a mountain bike enthusiast, I love working on my own bike—it’s rewarding, and it saves money. But let’s face it, some specialized tools are ridiculously expensive, especially for a job you might only do once in a while. That’s why I wanted to see if I could get away with something simpler and cheaper for setting a star nut, without shelling out for a tool that might just gather dust after one use. Therefore I designed one on my own. Hope it helps others as well!
