Dropping my 3rd model on MakerWorld. #Newmodel #Sharing Makes I’ve always liked custom keycaps, and since getting my first 3D printer, I wanted to try designing one myself. I designed it as a flat-pack kit card for a few reasons: • I don’t have an AMS setup, so I needed to print parts in separate colors • The parts are very small and usually require brims, the frame acts as built-in brims and helps reduce print failures • Small pieces are easy to lose during assembly, so the frame keeps everything organized • It also makes it easier to print multiple sets at once and handle them without parts going missing • And honestly, assembling it by hand is part of the fun, so I designed it to be built.

I just posted my first design on MakerWorld, a print-in-place Hot Rod kit card. I went through many iterations and reprints to make sure the assembly is easy, reliable, and satisfying, especially for people who enjoy kit card builds. I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
