Parametric Keychain Kapsules: Customizable Text, Width, Heights

This is a fully customizable version of my basic keychain holder here.

Do you need a convenient way to carry around your essential items? Whether it’s medication, earplugs, or anything else, a custom Keychain Kapsule is the perfect solution. It’s also a surprisingly fun little fidget item , even though it wasn’t originally designed as such !

This model is a simple and elegant container that can be attached to a basic keychain or similar. It has a secure threaded cap that can be easily opened and closed. You can also choose to print a knurled version of the cap, which gives you more grip. Keychain Kapsule is simple, useful 3D print that you can customize with different colors. Consider adding Text with slicer tools to label the container with name/contents !

4 examples are provided, but there's a large number of customizable parameters to choose from in the included Fusion360 file that you can adjust to however you like:

Printing instructions:

• 0.2 mm layer height works fine, try 0.16 on the threaded sections/cap if you're having any problems with the threads. It's important if you're on a fast printer to slow down in these areas and have good cooling because of the overhangs. Make sure you use a print order of inner/outer/infill.
• Prints fine in PLA or PETG. Shown here in neon green PETG and Prusament Galaxy Black. Try it in glow-in the dark to find your keys in the dark !
• Cap might need paint-on supports if printed in PETG. I used them and it worked nicely, but probably works fine without as well.

Examples are provided in 3MF and STEP formats. Pre-arranged 3MF also provided for Bambu/OrcaSlicer users.
