Chisel protectors

My chisels got beaten up in the toolboxes without protectors, and I had to keep sharpening them.

So, I designed a few protectors for my own chisels with ridges for better grip and showed them to my colleagues. Of course, they all wanted a set for themselves. Last week involved a lot of printing and resulted in many happy faces.

I made every size I could think of and encountered in all the toolboxes. If you find that you're missing a size, let me know, and I'll add it! Also, let me know if you would like a specific set of sizes as a print profile =)

Everything is printed in TPU because it needs to be flexible to fit perfectly. So, please use TPU and no other materials.

As a finishing touch, I used a black permanent marker to highlight the numbers.

The 3FM file contains all the different sizes listed below, so you can delete the ones you don't need, arrange the build plate, and print the rest.

Below is a list for converting imperial to metric measurements. The best fit is rounding the size up to the next available size in millimeters. If enough people would like a protector set with imperial measurements, let me know in the comments, and I will make one!

• 1/8 inch = 3.175mm 
• 1/4 inch = 6.35mm
• 3/8 inch = 9.525mm
• 1/2 inch = 12.7mm
• 5/8 inch = 15.875mm
• 3/4 inch = 19.05mm
