Description

Drink your beer with style - hold your can with a handle, so:

  • your hand doesnt get cold when holding your beer
  • your beer doesnt get warm while holding it with your hand
  • flies and wasps will not be able to get in your beer
  • distinguish your beer from others, protect it from (accidental) co-drinkers

The handle is available for all can sizes: 12 fl.oz - 16 fl.oz - 330ml - 440 ml - 500ml

I attached the plain version of the cover, so you can place your own logo on it. The handle comes with a standard “My Beer” text.

If you want one with your own text (for example Michael's beer) or whatever on the handle, you can order it here:

https://buymeacoffee.com/benoengineering/e/385578

UPDATE: I added a download folder with a few different cover logo versions.

Regarding the assembling:

  • snap the lid with the hinges on the handle
  • slide the bottom part onto the handle as well. This has a tight fit on purpose, if you have trouble doing it by hand, my way is to hold the handle and hit the bottom part to the floor like a hammer until its fully seated. It wont break, dont worry.

I printed it cause it is an awesome idea.. unfortunately the bottom part doesn't stay in.. it's too small I think. and the whole thing is to big for a 12 oz can. . it said there was for several sizes but it only had 1 plate so I didn't know if it would work or not. but if was worth a try. otherwise it printed great.

Millimetre perfect for the 440ml standard UK cans now and functions perfectly. Apologies for getting my units mixed up in my message but thanks for interpreting correctly. Excellent item and even better communication and corrections from the maker. Thanks again!

totally understandable! The only improvement I can think of now is that when you’ve opened the can - the cover doesn’t sit flush to the top of the can because the ring pull is higher than it is when the can is closed

oh and maybe you could print the size of each on the handle in addition to the ‘my beer’ text as default? Might make life easier for when people print multiple sizes and want to find the right one faster :)

my first attempt was a final, printed fined, didn't see the different sizes 🤣 reprinted the 16oz in stead of the 50ml and it was exactly what I wanted! thank you for this. a recommended remix, make the bottom of the handle run straight up the can, so it can fit in a cup holder. sorry for the bad pictures, it will be used for Coors in the future.

No problem, just send me please the exact height and diameter of a can like that.

Replying to @BENOengineering :
The typical 355 ml Canadian beer can has a height of approximately 12.2 cm (4.8 inches) and a diameter of about 6.2 cm (2.44 inches). These dimensions can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and design of the can, but this is the standard size for most. Taken from Copilot answer. Thanks to you!

I almost swallowed a bee at a football game last year. Maybe this will help me avoid a repeat. Cheers!

Sadly, I heard two stories of guys, who have died because the same happened to them. One instantly, the other after 6 months in a coma. So it could be a life saving device in extreme cases.

440ml Guinness
Great idea but does not work for UK 440ml cans - the 440ml profile is too large

Its possible that I made a mistake there. I will get some guinness and recheck, sorry for that...

Can you please measure the total height of your can? I just had a look and it was okay with the 440ml Guinness I can buy locally.

Thanks for the response! I thought you might have uploaded the 500ml profile by accident but it’s slightly too small for a 500ml monster can. 500ml measures 16.8cm but guessing you’ve got that one correct (not printed it yet). 440ml is 15.2cm height - I checked the thatcher’s can and confirmed it’s the same height as an Aldi 440ml lager can as well. I don’t have any 568ml pint cans right now but could reply with those if I get one soon - they seem to be increasing in popularity

I had to use supports for the lid because otherwise the center section would have printed as an overhang, but overall this was a quick easy print.. I would suggest using ABS though, I printed in PLA and the fit for the bottom part and the handle was EXTREMELY tight, when printed with ABS it fit very nicely!

Thank you for sharing, can I ask, what size can it is? It looks like to me that the can diameter is not the standard 16oz type. But otherwise if it fits... Regarding the support for the bottom of the lid, yes, its a must, its foreseen in the print profile too.

It's a 12oz can, but its thin and tall, similar to a red bull just slightly bigger, it does not fit in the 12oz holder, but fits perfectly in the 16oz holder, I can measure the can for you next week when we get home if you would like exact measurements.. The supports don't really bother me, It actually gave me a chance to try out bambu's pla/petg support material which works like a dream!

Yo! Add a pause to insert a magnet into the handle and that would be the absolute best!!! That's my favorite thing about my koozie!

Hello, could you guide me on improving the print quality of the lid's small lever? The part printed in mid-air has poorly defined lines and material oozing. Do you know how I can improve this?

Hi, thanks. If you can measure the size of that can (total height and main diameter is enough), I will adapt it. Unfortunately the can size is different in the EU, I cant get my hands on the 12 oz skinny can.
