Description

I developed this test for my previous printer, and it proved very useful.

Just now I am trying to come to terms with holes and pins tolerances on Bambu with different size nozzles, so I am trying it again.

Its tiny, fast and easy to peel from the bed, thanks to the small pin in the corner.

Before Bambu I used to run it before every important print, especially for large (costly) models.

The test shows problems with bed leveling, flow calibration and clogging that is only starting to develop.

You can see some examples on the photos, and not the most obvious ones.

It is meant to be printed with layer height exactly matching the steps height, so it is possible to check for problems on layers from first to fourth.

Flow problems accumulate on each layer, bed leveling problems shows only on the first layer, and so on. Plenty to check for :)

It is very intuitive, most problems are easy to diagnose.

Can be also used for quickly checking bed leveling in each corner.

It should result in perfect print. With digital caliper on smooth plate it is possible to calibrate layer height down to 0,05 mm (not so obvious on textured plate).

I used to print it on glass plate with 0,4 m nozzle and 0,12 layer height, first layer included. With properly aligned printer the result is perfect.

I have put three different layer heights in one profile, separate plates, be careful to check layer height before each print.
