Description

This is a refined remix of the microcontroller R3 case, specifically optimized for better fitment and durability. I’ve redesigned the core mechanics to ensure a smoother assembly and a more robust user experience.

 Key Improvements:

  • Filament-Hinge System: I modified the hinges to use a standard 1.75mm filament strand as the pivot pin. This eliminates the weakness of 3D-printed pins and provides a much smoother opening/closing action.
  • Optimized Tolerances: No more forced fits. I’ve increased the clearances between components to ensure everything snaps together perfectly, even on printers that aren't perfectly calibrated.
  • Structural Reinforcement: Added internal bevels to critical stress points to prevent snapping and increase the overall lifespan of the case.
  • Clean Design: Removed the original embossed text to give you a "blank canvas." Perfect for adding your own logos or labels in the slicer!

 Print tips:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA.
  • Hinge Assembly: Simply cut a small piece of 1.75mm filament and slide it through the hinge holes. You can slightly melt the ends with a lighter to lock it in place.
  • Supports: Not required (designed for easy printing).
