Description

This is a well-thought-out model of a hover disc for optimal fun.

(I probably put way too much thought into designing it!).

The model consists of two parts and combines two of my existing models. On one side, I made the balloon valve lighter and added a locking mechanism. On the other side, I also optimized the hover disc for physics experiments and equipped it with a coupling. This way, even a child could inflate the balloon on their own, attach it to the disc, and play with it.

The printing requires no special precautions, it works great with PLA. The inflator is best printed with the thick part on the plate and with support.

Please note the following tips:

  • Use the hover disc on a smooth surface (table, parquet floor, something without large elevations)
  • It's best to print the disc on a smooth plate.
  • After you've printed the valve and removed the support material, move the inner part a few times and blow out dust form both sides. if it still not sealing well,  use your swiss army knife (screwdriver) to rotate the inner part a few times. If it is still not sealing check out the Post-Processing Guide in the documents.
