@MakerWorld @BambuLab #Small Creator Community! #Young Creator #Sharing Makes Dear @MakerWorld, I love my Bambu printer and love to design for it, but as a small creator, I know from experience how hard it is to get prints, views, and boosts on a platform so full of unique models. I know that there are a limited number of points available and a finite number of users on MW, so I am suggesting the following to encourage rising creators on MakerWorld. MW could host a “Rising Creator Month”, which could feature: - Contests geared towards new creators - Increased visibility of models on MW - Highlights in e-mails or blog posts - Some incentive, like extra boosts, for users who boost small creators - Banners for awareness in the app - And more for creators under certain criteria, like 1000 total prints or 50 followers, etc. MW could check their designs or look for small creators with enough likes or followers to make sure onky high-quality models are promoted. This would help me and other creators by giving more points (due to more prints, boosts, contest, etc.), which would help small creators be free to try out CyberBrick and Maker’s Supply, get new filament, or even upgrade their printer to create more great designs. This would also help creators get engagement; as more people follow them, they have a fan base for future models, and increased comments on models (from higher visibility) help creators know where to improve their future designs. I have seen some epic "how this design came to life" articles. But I am very old school 🤣 I have drawn on paper since I was a kid, so I still do (also digitally recent years, but mostly on paper) since I have trouble envisioning how large a model is in real life, I draw it out in actual scale and sketch different ideas. so this pink stained paper is my design base for my modular prison model 😂 you can see In was originally planning to have side beams for balance, but after a print test it was way to bulky.
