Survival and preparedness requests: Instant cold pack case Instant cold packs can be carried almost anywhere, and on command when squeezed, become cold enough to treat and prevent numerous injuries and illness, importantly sprains and heat exhaustion. They can easily become compressed by gear and other objects in your pack, and become accidentally activated. A case would prevent this and help families and first responders. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Sandbag funnels Sandbags are essential for preventing flooding and water damage, and sandbag funnels make the process far quicker and easier. Designs can range from systems that hold the bag upright, to basic funnels. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Spot X Satellite communicator cases, MOLLE attachments, and protectors. Spot X is a unique Satcom for its ability to operate without being tethered to a phone via bluetooth, and for its full keyboard. But that same feature is a failure point, therefor it needs to be protected. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness request: Bic sleeves that are waterproof, float, and protect the button. Everyone should carry a bic in the wilderness and even have one at home. Their single biggest failure point is the large button on the back that releases the fuel. Cases that protect the bic completely, not just sleeves, would be extremely useful. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Safety knife Safety knives like these are valuable to responders and families for quickly cutting clothing and cordage. They're excellent for safely removing clothing around a wound or injury, but they're generally also good for nearly endless cutting tasks too. Any tool with this many uses is valuable for preparedness and emergency. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #preparedness

Survival and Preparedness requests: Log Scribe When faced with limited resources, cabin, barn, and shelter building is essential. A log scribe allows you to transpose the shape of one log to another, so they will lay flat together. This includes not just hewing logs so they're flat, but also notching, windowsills, and other features. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Trapping teaching aids and/or working trap mechanisms It can be difficult for someone without practice to carve or rig a trapping mechanism, regardless of how simple they look. In practice, it can be more complicated than that. For this reason, teaching aids and practice traps can be highly valuable. The main two would be spring pole snares and figure four deadfalls. Both have many variations allowing you to capture almost any game. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Cabinet-style first aid storage aka wall mounted There are a ton of first aid boxes on this site, ironically most look difficult to open especially with one hand, which is quite common. But I couldn't reasonably find any that are for the home, office, workplace, such as cabinets. Larger cabinets could be printed in multiple pieces, while smaller can print as one, or one plate at least. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Improvised Tourniquets A large portion of what ends up being survival and preparedness 3D prints will be alternative versions to gear and supplies that people otherwise wouldn't have access to. In developing countries for example, it can be hard to find a reliable tourniquet. Which is why it would be incredibly valuable for folks to design alternatives and improvised versions. If they're more effective than a stick and two rags, than they're worth it. A tourniquet is basically a locking windlass, and if designed properly, even PLA could be strong enough. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness requests: Carving protection Various carving protectors for thumbs and fingers, and clips that go on the spine of blades to make pushing them comfortable and ergonomic instead of denting and cutting up your thumb. #Design Request #Model Request #Survival #Preparedness

Survival and preparedness make requests: Jacob's Staff, aka Cross Staff. Extremely simple tool for measuring the altitude or height of an object relative to the horizon. You hold one end of the stick close to your eye and point it toward the horizon, then slide the crosspiece until its lower edge lines up with the horizon and its upper edge lines up with the thing you’re measuring. Where the crosspiece stops on the stick tells you the angle, as long as you’ve put simple angle marks along the stick ahead of time. To design one, you just pick a stick length, add a snug-sliding crosspiece at a right angle, then calibrate a few key positions by comparing against angles you already know (like something measured once with a phone clinometer or protractor) and marking those spots. Another device that would be useful for teaching, practicing, and even in rare circumstances actually surviving. #Design Request #Model Request

Survival and preparedness make requests: The Planisphere. A simple two-piece design, where the entire night sky is printed on one piece, and then when rotated within the window of the second piece, the user is shown what stars they will see depending on the date and time and their latitude. These plastic ones that are sold at bookstores could not only be printed, but be designed with adjustable latitude so you could easily slide it up and down to change where the horizon is based on your latitude. This is how I learned to navigate by the stars. It's a very simple device, and extremely fundamentally useful in celestial navigation, marine/nautical, and land. #Design Request #Model Request

Survival and preparedness requests: SAM splint case Makerworld has tons of splints, almost none are as good as a SAM splint due to its near infinite uses, any tool that can be repurposed is better than one with a single use. They all have the same issue, packing. SAM Splints can easily be crushed and made more difficult to form a splint during an emergency. Hard shell, hexagonal, all kinds of designs could protect these splints. And when something is easier to carry, more people start to carry it. Increasing odds of a civilian or responder having one on their person. #Design Request #Model Request

#Questions #Model Request Hey guys! @Budwin3d is my favorite creator on makerworld and he has such awesome models. My profile picture is his spider-man brand new day mask and it's great!! I wanted him to make an Absolute Batman Helmet and am trying to get in touch with him to ask him to make it, and I would love to make an assembly YouTube video on it on my new channel. Any tips on how to get in touch, I have already tried commenting and messaging. Thanks!

#Model Request Need help adding a snap‑fit pencil clip to a hawk model (teacher project) Hi everyone! I’m a middle school teacher, and I’m creating a small project for my students using our blackhawk mascot. I have a blackhawk model image, and I’m hoping someone can help me turn it into a 3D‑printable STL with a snap‑fit pencil clip integrated under the talons. I don’t know CAD, so I’m looking for someone who enjoys modeling and wouldn’t mind helping out a classroom project. What I need added: A partially open cylindrical C‑clip under the talon bases so the hawk can snap onto a standard wooden hex pencil. Clip specs: - Inner diameter: 7.0 mm (for a 7.3 mm hex pencil) - Wrap angle: ~240° - Slit width: 0.6–0.8 mm - Integrated into the talon bases - Strong enough for FDM printing (PLA or PETG) I can upload the reference image and any additional details you need. My students would be thrilled to have these as little motivational gifts, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any help. Thank you so much for supporting a teacher project!

hi comunity. I haven't found nay, but does anyone know if this kind of bag clip has been done? when I make sandwiches for my children at school I only take 2-3 slices, and several stay in the bag but normal clips do not work. the size is 220 mm X 135 mm.#Model Request

Im looking for something similair to this just not for the MrBeast toys specifacly. It is basically a honeycomb display but with a mini shelf so wider things can fit better. Would someone be able to either find one or make a super simple one? Thanks! Drop a comment if you can help! #Questions #Help a Newbie Out? #Modelideas! #New Design #Random Questions #Model Request #Model Requests(Edited)

ISO someone who is interested in taking on a project for free. I have ideas for switch & Outlet faceplate themes and have been trying to make the files myself without any success. So I thought there might be someone out there looking for their next side project. Of course, you will own the files and be able to post them to your own page. Let me know if you are interested. Thank you! #Cottagecore #Fairycore #project #light switch faceplate cover #Model Request(Edited)
