International Evening
International Evening
On Friday, the 14th of November, 2025 my friend Eamon and I participated in an after school activity and hosted a carnival games game stall for our school's International Evening.  The International Evening is an annual event at our school all about culture. There are many different activities you could take part in inside International Evening such as an MC, performer, food stall helper or a game stall hoster, which is what Eamon and I chose. Like I said, International Evening is all about culture, so before doing anything, Eamon and I had to decide on a country that we were going to base our games and decorations on. In the end, we landed on American carnival games. After deciding our country, we only had about 3 weeks left to prepare, meaning we got straight into work. Because I was the extremely lucky kid who has a 3D printer at home since he was ten and very few who mastered Tinkercad at this age, I worked on designing all the games, while Eamon started on the decor, which included posters, flags and rules. A little over 2 weeks later, which by the way, included a mandatory 5 day overnight trip/camp organized by our school, Eamon and I finally got together again and starting making some final preparations before the actual event. I had finished designing and printing all the games, which were beer pong, ring toss and cups knockdown and Eamon had finished making all the decorations, so now, all we had to do was the buy some candy as the prizes and make sure that everything was set and ready to go.  The remaining three days flew by and before we knew it, it was Friday afternoon and it was time to actually start setting up. At 4pm, after about forty minutes of setting up, Eamon and I were finally ready to go. So many students came to our stall, probably because of the candy but still, it was great. Even though it was chaotic at times, I don't know about Eamon, but I found it really fun and exciting. Although some students were stealing candy, we dealt with them and about 2 hours in, we were getting quite bored, but luckily, we only had 1 hour left before we were allowed to pack up and head home. At the time, I was tired and I had lost all of the energy and attitude that I started with. Nevertheless, I preserved and kept going. After another hour, it was finally time to pack up. Eamon and I put everything back into the trolley and started heading back home. In the end, I felt like we were quite successful. The stall turned out better than I was expecting and there were a lot of students who came to play and most of them came back. Many teachers and parents praised our stall and I had lots of fun along the way. I'll definitely be participating in this event again next year! Now that you basically know all the background information for why I designed three carnival games, which once again are beer pong, ring toss and cups knockdown, I'm proud to announce that all of these models are now on Makerworld for free. Go challenge your friends and family to a game and see if you can beat them. Have tons of fun and thank you, for reading all the way to the end.  P.S: You can find the model for our carnival games here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2011337-carnival-games
