Description

An ergonomic handle for the top glass panel of the Bambu Lab X1C and P1S, which allows safer handling.

About the Handle:

Who doesn't know this? The cover glass plate of the Bambu Lab X1C/P1S looks great and the handle is stylish. But as soon as the plate has to be removed, the unsafe handling becomes apparent.

The ergonomic handle should allow safer handling, especially for people with large hands or physical limitations. It's possible to remove the panel completely using the ergonomic handle without leaving fingerprints on the glass. The standard handle doesn't need to be removed, but it serves as a holder for the ergonomic handle. With the help of an attachable adapter, the ergonomic handle can simply be screwed on.

Consumption and Print Time:

The material consumption ranges from 9 to 10 grams, depending on the slicer setting. The approximate printing time is between 25 to 40 minutes.

Notice:

Make sure that there are no filament burrs inside the adapter to avoid damaging the standard handle! Please use the lid handle carefully at first to make sure that the print is stable enough.

Thanky you for that awesome desgin, I like it very much. Would it be possible to create such a handle with the same design and function also for the glass door?

I started to experiment a bit myself. I measured the door handle and realized it is exactly 45mm wide. So I upscaled your model to 150% and printed it. Fits perfectly. Only downside, it slides a few mm up and down because the flat bottom part has no "side guides". So that bottom part would need an update. The bigger handle part works unchanged, it just needs upscale to 150%

Hey Chris, I'm glad you like it! Wouldn't have thought it would fit through the front door so easily. ;-D But you're right. Maybe I should make a front knob for the sake of completeness.

Das wäre super, sollte ja nicht so aufwendig sein. Ich war schon kurz davor in Tinkercad mit basteln anzufangen ;-)

I really like the design and the feel is equally great. I blacked out my P1S and this handle is perfect for that. I also like that it's open on the top. I often put a tiny season-appropriate figure or 3D printed model on top of the handle (like a Christmas tree, etc.) and will add a base for them that I can just click into this handle. Thanks for the model! (printed at 0.2 layer height, Matte-Black PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle)

It's simple, still stylish and ergonomic, as the title suggests.

The @jaschazaehringe it's indeed a good idea, what about a space for a small lid on the top where we can put some sort of glass/acrilyc and some miniature inside?

Super praktischer Griff. Somit lässt sich die Scheibe ohne Probleme und Fingerabdrücke entfernen. 👍🏻
