Description:

A magnetic retractable cable desktop wireless charging solution designed for placement beneath a monitor riser. Primarily intended for charging small devices such as mice, keyboards, and headphones, it also incorporates a Type-C retractable cable. However, I am not entirely satisfied with this charger and will subsequently open-source a dual-magnetic cable version. The open-source F3D file is provided for fine-tuning to adapt the height to your specific support components or to modify it for compatibility with other cables.

I personally quite like the single-directional pull magnetic retractable cable and the retractable cable itself, but the market is quite niche, and most options are quite expensive. This is the most affordable and reasonably functional option I've found so far. The magnetic cable costs approximately 10 RMB, while the retractable cable charger costs 24 RMB—a rather steep price, and I would not recommend purchasing it. Advertised at 120 RMB, testing shows that while it can deliver fast charging for a single tablet (approximately 15-22W), adding a phone reduces charging to standard speeds (approximately 5-10W).

For safety reasons, it is recommended to use this only for charging small accessories and to avoid charging tablets and phones.

5. Anti-slip feet. These are made of EVA material, and I used 2cm x 2cm pieces. If not using a riser or placing on a supporting surface, the friction may be insufficient; silicone anti-slip pads are recommended. Consider the appropriate thickness.
