- "Cheap Yellow Display" / ESP32-2432S028R x 1: Tested with Micro USB Version
Description
clawd-meter š¦ ā a tiny pixel-art desk buddy for your Claude usage
This is the printable case for clawd-meter: a little desk companion built on a cheap (~10 ā¬) ESP32 colour touchscreen (the "Cheap Yellow Display" / ESP32-2432S028R).Ā
It shows your Claude AI usage at a glance ā and gives it a face: Clawd, an animated mascot whose eyes react to how much of your quota is left.Ā
⢠5-hour & weekly windows,Ā
⢠reset countdowns,Ā
⢠a clock, weather,Ā
⢠and a fully animated mascot screen ā all configurable from a little web page on the device.
This model is a two-part snap-fit shell (front + back lid) sized for the CYD board, with cutouts for the USB ports and the display window.
š ļø Everything you need to build it ā firmware, a one-click browser flasher (no software to install), and a step-by-step beginner guide ā is on GitHub:
š https://github.com/monsierfux/clawd-meter
The whole build takes about 15 minutes and needs no soldering. Print the case, flash the ready-made firmware from your browser, paste in one value from your Claude account, and you're done. š
Built on two lovely open-source projects ā thank you to both:
- glimmer by Avinava ā the usage dashboard, web UI and screen engine ā https://github.com/Avinava/glimmer
- clawd-mochi by Yousuf Amanuel ā the animated Clawd mascot idea ā https://github.com/yousifamanuel/clawd-mochi
