Description

1:20 Tri-Beam Treehouse | Design Prototype

This 1/20 scale model served as my functional proof-of-concept for planning a full-sized treehouse. It’s a perfect architectural tool for visualizing spatial layouts and the structural tri-beam system before committing to a full-scale build.

Features

  • Modular Walls: Includes parts for a fully enclosed cabin or cut-away walls to view the interior layout.
  • True-to-Life Engineering: Models the "floating" tri-beam method used by professional builders to allow for tree growth.
  • Easy Assembly: Parts bond with Super Glue.
  • Hardware Simulation: Use a cut-up paper clip to act as the TABs (Treehouse Attachment Bolts) that the tri-beams rest on.

Why Print This?

Whether you're a hobbyist or planning a DIY backyard project, this model helps you catch design issues early. It’s a tangible way to verify clearances, ladder placement, and deck ergonomics at a fraction of the cost of lumber.

Or it can be used as a fun display or doll house.

Scale: 1:20

Hardware needed: CA Glue, 1 Metal Paper Clip
