Description

Basic Land Station

What is this?

A basic land station is a set of boxes to hold Magic: The Gathering basic land cards for people to use in their decks when drafting using booster packs. One common variant of this draft is called Cube, where the Cube owner designs their own re-draftable environment using existing Magic cards from all of its 30+ year history.

Why did you design this?

I recently finished building my Vintage Cube and I wanted an elegant design aesthetic for my basic lands. I designed this to be flexible to people's needs by include two major variants of the design: the short box (measuring ~88mm in total height) and a tall box with a nice label on top (measuring 110mm in height). Each of these designs have two variants: one that can hold 5mm diameter magnets (to be glued in), and one that uses plastic nubs to press fit into the adjacent box.

What version should I print?

Note:

If you want to fit these boxes into the bottom of a fatpack / bundle box, you will need to scale them accordingly (this has not been tested, so please let me know if the scale needs to be adjusted)

Note:

The magnet versions were designed for 5mm diameter magnets measuring ~1.66mm thickness (the amazon page no longer exists, but it was called "5mm x 2mm cylindrical magnets)
