Designed for pure imagination, this toy is about seeing the world through a different lens and turning the backyard into a land of discovery. It’s the perfect companion for little explorers, giving them a fun "tool" that adds a layer of adventure and tactical flair to every hidden treasure they track down.

🛠️ Maker Notes & Technical Specs

I designed this model to be as accessible and "print-and-play" as possible:

• No Supports Needed: The geometry is optimized to print cleanly without any messy or difficult support structures.
• Snap-Fit Assembly: The two-piece frame is designed for easy assembly and disassembly without the need for glue. This makes it simple to swap out lenses whenever you want a new look.
• Durable Design: The Eggfinder is sturdy enough to survive a full morning of running through grass and bushes.
• Versatile Lenses: Lenses can be made from any reasonably thin material—try colored transparent craft foil, candy wrappers, or thin plastic sheets.

📝 Assembly with screen:

Use colored thin transparent foil (0.1-0.3mm) to create the screen. I included a template you can download and print to get the size right but you can also eyeball it. The pdf is in A4-format, make sure you use 100% scale to get the size right if you want an exact fit.

Simply place your cut screen inside the frame with the standing pins and slide the other half over it and press them together. Snap on the handle and you are ready for the search!
