Description

Using a different material as a support interface can be great, but also frustrating since the default values are garbage.

I needed a way to dial in support setting and flushing volumes, in theory you should be able to run this until you have the correct values then apply this on any model that you want.

I includes some different models to try, personally I used the more complicated model

Notes:

  • I would start around the 600 - 700 range, and dial down from there
  • This model isn't perfect ie meaning you will have to adjust settings to get them dialed in which is what this is for
  • The print no sticking the bed is not my profile or model issue

Features:

  • 3 different test models
  • Support settings already set fo best finish (imo), you can adjust if you need to
  • Under 35 min print time per test model
  • Under 5 g of filament used
    • 4.69 g - complicated model
    • 2.91 g - Non Angled Part
    • 2.89 g - Angled Part
  • Editable Text to update flushing value

Instructions:

  • Open Project in Bambu Studio
  • Select your Materials
    • In my test I used
      • PLA - model
      • PETG - support interface
  • Click on Flushing Volumes
  • Select update the flushing value of the two materials you used
    • I updated for going in both directions this ensures that it clears the filament out, make the values the same
      • So if you use 150 for one use 150 for the other, justmake sure to set them for the filaments you are using
  • Click okay
  • Select the text_shape of the model you are printing and edit to the value you set (you can do this step first if you want
  • slice and send to printer

Check your settings, you want to be able to remove the supports without it causing your model to break or seperate, the photo of the seperated one is what you don't want.
