Modular Extendable Tripod System

This is a fully modular and customizable 3D printable tripod system designed for flexibility, portability, and expandability. The tripod uses interchangeable leg segments that allow you to build the exact height and configuration you need for photography, lighting, mounting equipment, or general workshop use.

Modular Leg System

The tripod features extenable leg segments available in eight different lengths:

• 100 mm
• 125 mm
• 150 mm
• 175 mm
• 200 mm
• 225 mm
• 250 mm
• 275 mm

Each leg segment can be connected to another, allowing you to extend or fine-tune tripod height by mixing different lengths. This makes the system adaptable for both compact tabletop setups and taller support stands.

Base Options

Two interchangeable tripod base variants are included:

• M8 Base – Designed for M8 bolt mounting
• 1/4 Inch Base – Compatible with standard camera and accessory mounts

These base options allow the tripod to be used with a wide variety of photography, video, and workshop equipment.

Fastening Options

Leg segments are secured using M8 hardware:

• Recommended bolt length: 35–40 mm
• Printable knobs are included for easier hand tightening
• A printable M8 pin is also provided as a tool-free alternative (note: this option provides considerably less clamping force than metal bolts)

Optional Ball Joint Feet

The tripod supports optional ball joint feet that improve stability on uneven surfaces. These feet:

• Are fully optional
• Allow better surface contact and leveling
• Can be installed using M8 bolts or printable pins

Lighting Baby Pin Adapter

A printable 16 mm (Baby Pin) adapter is included for mounting lighting and studio equipment. Two versions are provided:

• M8 Base version
• 1/4 Inch Base version

PETG is recommended. PLA can also be used, but personally, I prefer PETG for this model.
