Description

This is the sixth version of an IV training aid originally designed for paramedics at JIBC which now seeing wider interest from other post-secondaries.  The purpose is to create a high-fidelity training aid that is low-cost to create and simple to maintain.

The unit is intended to have 3mm tatoo skin attached using velcro on the skin then the under side of the device and latex tubing underneath for veins.  The veins are intended to be attached to either an IV line with a pressure infuser or a 10cc syringe with simulated blood to deliver flashback to indicate a successful IV attempt. One end of the tubing would be attached to the simulated blood source while the other would be clamped once primed.
