Description
Manual Flat Bar Bender
This project is a manual flat bar bending tool designed for hobbyists and makers.
It allows controlled bending of flat bars using a simple roller mechanism and a hand-operated crank.

- Maximum flat bar width: up to 45 mm
- Thickness: tested only on thinner materials

š Hardware & Assembly Notes
š© Main Bolts (Hex key 13 mm)
- 3 Ć bolts, length 100 mm
- Used for the main structure and roller mounting
āļø Bearings
- 7 Ć ball bearings
- Outer diameter: 22 mm
Inner diameter: larger than a standard M8 bolt
ā requires using a smaller bolt with spacers or sleeves to properly center the bearing
(Standard 22 mm OD bearings are typically 608-type: 22 Ć 8 Ć 7 mm ā verify before assembly)
āļø Drive Gear Mounting
Bolt used to mount the drive gear:
- Hex key 13 mm
Length: 40 mm
š§ Crank Mounting
- M6 bolt
- Length: 30 mm
- Used to attach the crank handle to the drive mechanism
š Height Adjustment (Main Roller
Threaded rods (studs):
- Hex key 13 mm
- Cut to 150 mm length
- Used to adjust the vertical position of the main guiding roller
