Filament Spool Door Knobs

These 3D printable mini filament spools were developed as multifunctional elements that can be used as knobs, handles, decorative components, or colored sample pieces. The shape is based on classic filament spools and is ideal as a visual addition for workshop setups, organizational systems, and the 3D printing area

The spools can be used directly as individual elements or mounted together with the included adapter as a stable handle or door knob. They are suitable for Kallax drawers and doors, wood and plastic fronts, as well as modular storage systems. Additionally, they are compatible with the side plug-in areas of my Kallax Rack Module (available separately)

The models consist of three parts that are fully printable without supports: two black round parts and one colored middle piece. This allows for very clean multi-color prints without AMS. Standard M3 screws are used for handle mounting

Note on Printing

• The spool consists of three components (2× black, 1× colored)
• The included adapter enables stable handle mounting
• The solo spool can also be used without an adapter and requires little material and print time

I did not geometrically change the original model, but extended it with a completely redesigned mounting adapter. This makes the model usable as a functional door or drawer knob for the first time. The overall function and purpose of the model have thus been expanded
