Just getting started in 3d printing. I figure if I need a hobby it should be something I enjoy and something useful. I love solving problems with practical application. I think this strikes the very core of 3d printing.

This is a great model! Easy print. I separated the tires to another plate and printed those in TPU90A for a softer feel. I also moved the lights and a few other small pieces to another plate and switched printing method for that plate to "by object" from "by layer" to save some filament.
Assembly was not too bad, but you definitely should go slow and think carefully about each step. The instructions below leave some assumptions, so I had to go back and look carefully at the reference images to make sure I got everything right. I did have to reprint two of the piston/shaft pieces and the stabilizers as the pistons were too short to fully extend the backhoe and one of the stabilizers broke when trying to move it back down after inserting fully. I increaded the wall loops to 4 to make them extra strong and have not had an issue.
If I were to print this again I think I would splurge on a long m2.5 hex bit as I used all screws and none of the printed plastic pins.
