Upgraded: The “cam gear” has been upgraded for smoother lift motion. If you've already printed out the TT motor mount, you only need to re-print the cam gear itself to upgrade your kit. When designing the just-release Maker's Beginner Kit motor mount for my Roll Hexfinity Lift system, I had to smooth out the operations of the lift. The MBK motor is faster, and the balls didn't have enough time to roll off of their current petal before the left went back down again. The balls often wouldn't advance. Then I realized I never played around with the same of the Cam on the cam gear. With just a little tweaking I was able to make a much smoother lift action for all motors. On the left you can see the new, upgraded motion compared to the old motion on the right.

I tested an 87HU lift (609mm high) with a single lift more. The ball made it all the way up, no problem! https://makerworld.com/en/models/2752024-roll-hexfinity-lift-motor-mount#profileId-3053537 I can't wait to start building some big, continuous running ball paths! I can't wait to see what others do with this.

At last, the long requested Hexfinity lift system is here! this took me way longer than I ever expected but I think the results are pretty great. The main challenge was making a modular lift system to go with the rest of the modular Hexfinity. Let me know what you think!

5 tips for 3d printing: 1: Don't use 15% infill all the time, 5% does the job well. 2: use these types of infill for srtength, (and my opinion) Gyroid, 3d honeycomb and grid). 3: Try enginering your own supports in your model and its way easier than you would expect. 4: Regularly wash your build plate (most print failures dome from oil from your hands left on the build plate). 5: don't be afriad to try other filament types (PETG, TPU, WoodPLA). They aren't as hard to print as YouTube would make you think. Do you think these tips were helpful

Does anyone remember those plastic toy kits from kids' vending machines where you had to get the little ball through the maze? I'm releasing something new and different today. It's still compatible with the Hexfinity system, but it's for a different kind of play and creativity. It's hand's on, interactive, but still modular, still Hexfinity.

I just released my largest Hexfinity set yet. I’ve been iterating on this one for months, and I’m proud of how it turned out. If you’ve been wanting to build bigger with Hexfinity, this is the set for you! Additionally, if you’ve noticed that Hexfinity looks beautiful but the balls fly through it too fast — this set provides the solution. It includes six new path pieces designed to dramatically slow the ball, giving you longer, more satisfying rolling runs.

My 2nd BIG Roll Hexfinity release. Let me know what you think! So far I've been surprised how much fun it's' been to scale up Roll Hexfinity. It feels like a gumball machine at this scale. I LOVE IT!

I love the dummy 13 models and I I suddenly had this crazy idea. I noticed that one of the most iconic parts of the dummy 13 is the head and it occurred to me that it would probably make an excellent mag safe stand so I mocked it up in CAD. What do you think? Should I print one and release it? It's 1000% size, and it should be fully compatible should someone want to print the rest of the body. I added the MagSafe adapter I previously designed and tweaked the head slightly to lie flat on your desk as shown and print with no supports.
I'd print it!

Big push to get new Hexfinity releases out the door this weekend: 1. v1.1 upgrade to Atomic Hexfinity - improved interlocking, strength and longevity 2. Hexfinity Spirals - very satisfying, fast and infinitely stackable 3. Atomic Hexfinity Build Pack - columns, plates, bases and adapters - now you can build full sized roll mazes entirely with Atomic Hexfinity And I've got at least two more major releases lined up - addressing some long awaited requests for Roll Hexfinity. Stay tuned!

Atomic Roll Hexfinity - Version 1.1 Update Atomic RollHexfinity v1.1 makes everything stronger, smoother, and longer-lasting. - Every piece now includes a core support column for added strength and stability. - The triangular print bases of all pieces have been refined with more rounded corners, improving print consistency and enabling the new Hexfinity friction bases. - The one-triangle and two-triangle building blocks have been completely re-engineered to maintain their grip over time, staying snug and reliable even after repeated assembly. - The Hexfinity friction bases have been redesigned for a tighter, more secure fit. These new friction bases are not backward compatible with version 1.0 bases but offer much better hold and durability. The result: better prints, stronger parts, and connections that stay snug roll after roll.
