I have to rate this a 5 for ingenuity alone. I had some difficulties printing, but mainly due to
ABS being finicky. I got the
gears, axles, and clip rings (off white and yellow) done in ABS with only a few hiccups. The base was a total fail in ABS but turned out nicely in PLA+CF (black) along with the crank. TPU for AMS did well for feet (white because I forgot I had black). I used some PLA+ (red) for the spool holders. It felt like there was some spots while cranking where the gears were a little too tight or misaligned, so I added some grease I had from my extruded gear upgrade kit. I’ve successfully respooled a couple spools so far, and used the hex hole for a drill after cranking a while to get it started, and it
worked really well. Again, A+ for idea and design. I understand that it’s impossible to make a perfect print for everyone. I may tinker with ABS some more and try to upgrade some of the PLA parts later. Thanks for sharing!
