This thing is awesome! Thank you! The rate at which I hand it to someone and they not-so-subtly hint that they'd like to keep it has left me printing this thing almost constantly for a few days now. The print orientation of the threaded rod piece had me a little worried for it's longevity though. Having the layer lines perfectly aligned with the shear line between the two halves would eventually lead to a failure at that point. Especially if it gets dropped. If you're curious, I've made the adjustment here (attached). love it! sounds amazing, I play it regularly. full disclosure though: I flipped the mouth piece and turned on supports to get a cleaner result on the opening. I’ve printed some other xiao flutes and this one has the best and most consistent tone over its full range. it’s also the best intonated and tuned, I have no trouble playing it in an ensemble. very impressed! also little tip for assembly: use teflon tape!

awesome! as much as I dig 3d printing I find the products can have a hard time fitting in with modern manufactured decor without looking a little cheap. not this one though! it’s right at home anywhere in your home! love it!

sure it takes a bit of careful work to get the raft material out from between the two rings but it’s well worth it. this thing is seriously awesome!
