Description

Hate leaving your bag on the floor while hotdesking? This backpack hook keeps your work bag off the ground, within reach, and out of the walkway.

 

This design uses a clean, low-profile shape with large corner transitions and an internal load-path rib to improve stiffness without adding unnecessary bulk. It prints flat on the bed with no supports, making it an easy functional print for offices, coworking spaces, classrooms, and home desks. You can even print 6 at a time if you have friends or too many children! I was tired of a lot of the other bag hook models on here which seem to be mainly aesthetic and not be optimised geometrically for strength, so I made one :)

 

Result at 500 N downward bag load, about 51 kgf:

p99 stress:     5.018 MPa
max deflection: 0.110 mm

 

This indicates that, at 50% gyroid infill, 3 walls with standard PLA, it will take about 25kg all day, but instantaneous load is 60-90kg with best case being around 90-120kg. Not bad for only a little bit of material!
