Description

I was fitting a USB socket into my car and found that the nut shape made it a pain to grip when doing it up. The panel I was fitting it to had edges on the back so I couldn't access the nut directly from the side.

So rather than the normal, try with long nosed pliers, swear, slip, bleed approach I actually made a spanner/wrench thing to fit the nut and it made installation easy.

The USB Socket was this one off amazon, but my tool also fitted another one I found (obviously after ordering the new one) in my garage. I think that it is a standard size.

Given how much it helped with the install I thought I'd upload it here.
