Ozarkexpeditions experience with CyberBrick - RC Toys and Games
Hi Makers! We have had a wonderful time working with the @CyberBrick kits and felt incredibly fortunate to be one of the early designers to receive the kit to provide input and feedback. This early feedback will help ensure that designers, makers, and players will have a great time using the kits from the moment they open the box and start building. Most of our models on MakerWorld are designed for repeated play and enjoyment, whether it’s games, toys, lamps and more, which is why we like the CyberBrick kit so much. It’s fun to see the family grab the controller, flick on the switch and start playing with the RC toys that we’ve made so far. With the parts being easy to assemble and disassemble, it means that you won’t get bored as you can move the parts to a new 3D printed model and keep the fun going. IMG_27751920×1440 143 KB The Controller The standard controller design from MakerWorld will be the “go to” solution for most designers as we like to think of it as a PlayStation controller. You have one controller design that can work across many models, just like a PS controller works for many games. However, you can get super creative like @Josh-3D’s industrial style controller for the Strandbeest model. What’s really impressive is that you can switch between different receivers, meaning that you can be controlling one model and then at the flick of a switch start controlling something else. I’m sure the community will come up with some super fun use cases for model switching. The Model Files When the CyberBrick design files become available to the community, just like you can find STEP files for other MS parts, you’ll be able to easily design around them in your favorite CAD program. All of the design files are exceptionally accurate and make it easy to design around. I took some time to simplify some of the models to make CAD programs run faster but loved the detail and precision to get prints to work the first time. The Designs So far, we’ve created a few designs. As you know, we absolutely love board games and toys over at Ozarkexpeditions, so we have some exciting games on the roadmap. So far, we’ve created two models. One is a 3-wheel lunar rover with headlights and differential steering. We wanted a cute-sci-fi rover that would be easy for new makers to assemble. The top is held on with pegs and magnets, so it’s easy to pull out the components and put it in another model to keep the fun going. It’s funny to drive around the house and do donuts on the hardwood floor. The plug and play aspect instead of soldering makes it really easy to get all of the components installed after printing. IMG_27881920×1376 139 KB IMG_27821920×1440 134 KB Another model that we design is a rubber band turret launcher. It’s similar to the Crunch Lab kit. We wanted it to have a classic industrial look with Bambu Lab Metal PLA. It can rotate 360 degrees on the base, can aim up and down and spin the turret around to fire up to 6 rubber bands. If you print the barrel multiple times, you can have the next round of 6 read to go at all times. We are working to refine this one a little more before it’s fully ready to play. IMG_12451920×2240 321 KB IMG_12521920×2207 297 KB The Future We have many ideas for games and have created several other prototypes that we can’t wait to have fully built out for people to play. We know that most makers will want to create RC cars which will be a blast, but we envision how this will be used in many types of games and other creative ways. What games would you want to see created with this kit?

CyberBrick Creator Incentive & Review Process
Dear Creators and Backers, CyberBrick is here to expand the possibilities of 3D printable content, and we are implementing some limited-time new rules regarding sales commission and review process for CyberBrick projects to ensure a smooth experience for all users. CyberBrick Fast-Track for Sales Commission CyberBrick (CB) is a new and exciting addition to the MakerWorld ecosystem, and we’re eager to support creators who are exploring its possibilities. To encourage more designs and help the community grow, we’re introducing a limited-time Fast-Track Policy to make joining the CB creator community more rewarding. Here’s how it works: CyberBrick will adopt similar incentive rules to those of Maker’s Supply and use the Maker’s Supply Affiliate Tool to earn sales commissions. CyberBrick parts will have higher commission rates than regular Maker’s Supply parts. As soon as you successfully publish your first CyberBrick-compatible model, you’ll automatically become eligible to apply for the Creator Program through the Creator Center. Once your application is approved, you will be eligible to receive sales commissions based on successful model BOM sales. CyberBrick models begin accumulating commission immediately upon publication. For other Maker’s Supply models, the standard threshold of [Downloads + 2xPrints] reaches 2,000, and still applies before commission starts. How do I add CyberBrick Parts to my project? When uploading your project, you can find the “Bill of Materials” section. Simply find the CyberBrick category in the drop-down list and add relevant parts. You can either add individual parts or add one of the universal kits (Beginner & Ultimate Hardware Kit) and then append additional parts. Sometimes having the kit is cheaper for the player than all separate parts. image1320×786 98.9 KB CyberBrick 2-Stage Review Process Every CyberBrick model goes through a two-stage review process to help ensure quality, functionality, and visibility within the ecosystem. 1. Initial Manual Review (Before Going Public) When you submit a model chosen as CyberBrick-compatible, it will first go through a manual review. This review only checks the basics: The model genuinely uses CyberBrick hardware for its functionality. Attempting to upload an irrelevant model as a CyberBrick model and gaining an unfair advantage in sales commission is prohibited. The model includes the following assets: At least one functional and properly-named JSON control config. Control layout diagram associated with each JSON config. Clear assembly instructions in the form of a PDF or a video. A BOM that includes all necessary parts and no unnecessary extras. If your build closely matches one of the official combo kits, we encourage you to reference those kits—this helps users save money and simplifies the purchase process. Models that fail the review will be returned for revisions and must be resubmitted for review before being published to the public. Please rest assured that we will complete the review within 3 business days, subject to the model quantity. Published models, if reported by users to have misincluded CyberBrick parts, may also be taken down for revision. Once approved, your model will be published and awarded the “CyberBrick Compatible” badge (green and gray). This badge helps your project stand out, increases visibility on MakerWorld, and makes it accessible inside the CyberBrick mobile app. 2. Premium Quality Verification (Post-Launch) After going public, CyberBrick models will be automatically entered into a verification queue, based on real-world engagement, like weekly downloads and prints. Top-performing models will be printed, assembled, and tested with actual CyberBrick hardware. If everything works as intended, they’ll earn the “CyberBrick Verified” badge, our highest quality mark. This badge is recommended for newer users looking for proven builds. We aim to identify and prioritize high-potential models for faster validation and recommendation to more users. Simultaneously, we ensure that all CyberBrick kits and parts listed in the BOMs are fully compatible with the model and that quantities are correct when customers place orders through the BOM function. Creators do not need to apply manually — this step is automatic, and based on how the community interacts with your design. The complexity of your model also affects how long it takes for the reviewing staff member to assemble and test your model. The gold badge is not expected to be awarded to all models, nor guaranteed within a certain timeframe. Additional Information This fast-track is only available during the early rollout phase. Once the campaign ends, the usual requirement of [Downloads + 2xPrints] reaches 2,000 will apply again when applying to the Creator Program. However, any rewards you earn during this period are yours to keep. To keep things fair for all creators, reuploading someone else’s work, mislabeling irrelevant models as CyberBrick, or similar misuse may result in removal from the Creator Program and withdrawal of benefits. You may be banned from re-applying for 7 to 30 days based on the extent of the violation.

CyberBrick Hardware CADs and Specifications Available Now!
Dear Creators and Backers, Thank you for your incredible support! Many of you have expressed a desire to get started with designing as soon as possible, so we’ve quickly put together a set of foundational resources to help you dive in. This includes CAD models and basic specifications for all hardware modules, allowing you to at least begin your structural design work. We also encourage you to share these materials and invite more creators to join the CyberBrick community. Let’s build the future together Please note: Some part names or descriptions in these materials may not be entirely consistent with the Kickstarter page. The dimensions and CAD models should be accurate. We appreciate your understanding, as this is the result of releasing these resources ahead of our original schedule. In addition to the CyberBrick modules and parts included in the Kickstarter Rewards, you can also find additional parts on Maker’s Supply if your design needs any. On the other hand, our apps are still undergoing user testing and certification, so they won’t be available for a little while. However, rest assured that all hardware wiring and channel mappings are adjustable, so you won’t need to worry about making major design changes later. Thank you for your understanding! If you have any questions about these materials or need additional information, please reply to this forum post, and we’ll respond as soon as possible. We also encourage you to exchange project ideas here. You may find new inspirations from each other’s projects, and avoid duplicate projects. For questions about Kickstarter orders, pricing, and other related topics, please continue to interact in the Kickstarter comments section so that more people can benefit from the discussion. Thank you for your support! Looking forward to your amazing projects! Download the files here on Google Drive Check out Maker’s Supply for additional parts you may need

CyberBrick Is Live – And You’re Already Making It Awesome!
Hey everyone! We want to start by giving a huge thank you to all of you for the amazing energy and enthusiasm you’ve already brought to CyberBrick. Seeing so many of you jump in, explore, create, and push the boundaries of what’s possible has been truly inspiring. Your passion and creativity are exactly what make this community special, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have you with us from day one. Challenges and What We’re Doing About Them We also want to be upfront about some of the bumps we’ve hit along the way, especially around the Kickstarter campaign. Shipping delays have been frustrating for some of you, and we’re genuinely sorry for the wait. Managing Kickstarter fulfillment comes with unique challenges, and we take full responsibility for those delays. The good news is we’re learning a lot from this experience and are working hard to smooth out the process. Once we move fully to our regular online store, shipping should be faster and more reliable. In the meantime, we’re committed to improving communication and support at every step. If you need assistance, please reach out via our makerworld support tickets: Open a ticket at MakerWorld Support We’ll be honest. This is a tricky stage for us. We’re working hard to support everyone: from the super-skilled early adopters racing ahead, to total beginners who just opened their first kit and are stepping into this world for the very first time. It’s a wide mix, and we want every single person to feel supported, inspired, and empowered. Some of you are already asking for more features, faster updates, and big improvements… and we love that! Just know we’re moving as fast as we can while keeping everything steady. Regular updates are coming, and we’ll stay in touch every step of the way. We Want to Hear From You Your ideas, hacks, and feedback are what will shape the future of CyberBrick. Whether you have a new project, a cool build, or suggestions for features, please share! Here’s a simple way to organize your thoughts if you’d like: Project idea: Who it’s for or what problem it solves: Hardware needed (if any): Software features requested (if any): Don’t worry about perfect details, just share what’s on your mind in the CyberBrick section with a new thread. That way, we can keep the discussion focused, and other forum members can also share their feedback on it. Every suggestion helps us understand how you’re using CyberBrick and what you’d love to see next. While we can’t promise to implement everything, we’re paying close attention to all your feedback. Thank You for Being Part of This Journey Finally, thank you again for being part of the CyberBrick community and for all the support you’ve given so far. We’re just getting started, and with your help, we know CyberBrick will become something truly amazing. Let’s keep building, learning, and creating - together. The CyberBrick Team
