This overwhelming presence of AI slop not only devalues the efforts of true makers but also deters new talent from joining, as their thoughtful contributions are buried under a mountain of generic, uninspired posts.
If Makerworld wants to reclaim its reputation and foster a healthy creative ecosystem, its designers must take decisive action to curb the spread of AI-generated content. By implementing stricter guidelines, improving moderation, and prioritizing human-made projects, Makerworld can once again become a space where originality thrives. Without intervention, the platform risks losing its core community and becoming just another dumping ground for disposable AI output.
