I’m an engineer, a maker, and probably overthinking this. But if it solves a real-world problem, I’m printing it.

I made this easy-open bottle & can opener for anyone who’s tired of fighting with stubborn lids and tricky pull tabs. It’s especially helpful if you have arthritis, weak grip strength, or sensitive hands—and it’s also a lifesaver if you’ve got long fingernails you don’t want to break.
With this tool, you can:
- Effortlessly twist open water and soda bottles (big 2L or small ones)
- Pop open beer and soda cans without straining your fingers
- Lift food can pull tabs smoothly—no more broken nails or sore joints
- Open milk containers
The ergonomic design gives you extra leverage, so you don’t need much strength to get the job done. Just place it on the cap or tab, twist or pull, and you’re done.
I’d love your feedback—do you think a version with a grippy rubber insert or a fridge-magnet holder would make it even better?
Happy printing, and here’s to saving hands (and nails)! 🖤

By far, one of my most used tools. Saves my hands from trying to open these impossible caps

I created this drying rack for our reusable K Cups Coffee Pod Filters. We use these filters in our Keurig because they are better than the plastic ones and we needed a drying rack to store and hold them near the coffee maker. Here's a link to the Reusable K Cups that we prefer https://amzn.to/40NjMV4
