Description

Stackable coasters. Less than 23g of filament.

Coaster print without inserts, but I like to make my own with some of my favorite sports teams. Create your own insert using a primitive cylinder with a diameter of 76 mm and height ranging from 1.5-1.8mm. I recommend 1.8mm if adding a svg, and 1.5 if creating a blank insert.

The insert fits any insert with a 76.2mm (3 in.) diameter.  My plan when designing this was to create a coaster that was a universal fit for different types of materials with common measurements.

At 76mm, the insert should fit snug and comes out by tapping it against your hand if you wanted to switch your insert.

The bottom of the coaster is fitted for non slip grips that I purchased on Amazon.

If you wanted to laser engrave your insert, I found that these wooden and acrylic inserts fit great.

Print the coaster with the support profile loaded. The speeds for the support are slowed down due to the size of the support trees. Could be printed without the brim, but I like to use it because it helps ensure me that the print won't move on the bed. (just a personal preference).

0.12mm Fine setting works best for me and keeps layer lines clean. (always remember to dry your filament)

You could rotate the coaster 180 degrees, but I found that I like the way the coaster fits better when supports are for the insert part of the model (plus, the tizz in me enjoys the feeling of popping off the tiny trees).

Anyways, this is my first published model and contest entry. hope y'all like it.
