I love the Ice Made Clear ice maker for making perfectly clear ice, but I like making the whole block at a time instead of using the inserts. This means leaving the block upside down and waiting for the ice to melt enough to fall out. With these little risers it gets better air circulation and you will hear it when it lands. I usually set it over a cutting board with the grooves up so it lands safely and doesn’t get a ton of water everywhere.
