Scale Mail Pauldron

This is a scalemail pauldron designed to fit just barely on the X1C build plate. It makes use of my connectable scalemail design, so you could use those scales to connect multiple plates together with the right layouts of things. 

Assembly

There are multiple ways this could be assembled and worn. This was the method I was going to try before I gave up on the leatherworks (I apparently do not like working with leather, at all).

• Cut a non-stretch fabric to size, about 1in larger than the pauldron in all directions. 
• surge the edges all the way around
• Turn, iron down, and top stitch the edges to be around the size of the pauldron
• Using thread, sew the printed plate down to the fabric backing (will be much more comfortable than plastic against your skin)
• Attach a leather strap or other strap of some sort to the top of the shoulder of the pauldron and partway down where it will be comfortable to strap it to the top of your arm.
• Wear!
