Description

Meet the VICEGRIPTOR!

You never would have thought you needed this, but now you do. The VICEGRIPTOR is a clever, print-in-place gadget with a self-locking mechanism that grips like a vise and releases with a simple flick.


No assembly needed and no supports to remove, just pure functional design.

Whether you need to hang clothing, secure cables, or clip gear to your bag, the VICEGRIPTOR offers a very strong grip and a satisfying mechanical snap when closing. Try for yourself!

 

Quick Start

  1. Download & Slice
    Import the STL or 3MF file directly into your slicer. No supports are needed. Recommended settings:
    - 0.16 mm layer height
    - 3 Walls 
    - Inner-outer-inner
    - Arachne
  2. Print
    Works well in PLA and PETG.
    Orientation is optimized for strength and smooth movement.
  3. Lock & Load
    Once printed, flex the handle slightly to test the locking action.
    It should click firmly into place and hold securely.
    The locking effect gets stronger when clamping increasingly thicker materials

The hinge clearance of each model is embossed inside the lower handle, for easy reference after printing.

 

If your VICEGRIPTOR prints with sections fused together, little clamping force on the handle will sometimes snap it loose.

In case it breaks when forcing the handle, use one of the provided models with wider clearance on the hinges.
