Light Box with Wooden Cover

A beautiful light box that can be designed according to your own wishes. You can find light boxes made of wooden slats on various sales platforms. I wanted to combine it all - the result is this light box!

Additionally required:

3x wooden slats (22mmx8mmx160mm each) or cut a board accordingly

1x acrylic block of the same size (in my case, frosted for the front)

1x light (in my case, a USB light from a Swedish furniture store)

Print the light box with supports (I used PLA). If you use a light like I did, glue it in the middle and route the cable

Option 1

Insert the acrylic block into the front and place the wooden blocks / board on top

Label the front with an acrylic pen, plot it, or leave it as is (as you like)

Place decorations on top

Option 2

Follow the same steps for the front

Saw a hole in the top of the blocks/board for the light to shine through

Then create your own light box with the Lightbox Creator from Makerlab

Slice this in Bambu Studio

When slicing, insert a negative part, corresponding to the sawn size in the wood, so that the light

shines into the light box from below

Attach the light box - done

Final step:

Enjoy your self-made decorative light

Have fun printing / rebuilding!
