Description

VibraCast – Your Anti-Bubble Casting Buddy!

Ever poured silicone or concrete into a mold and thought, “Please no bubbles this time”? Well, worry no more — meet VibraCast, a compact and clever vibrating platform built to help you achieve flawless, bubble-free casts every single time.

⁉ What is VibraCast?

VibraCast is a 100x100mm vibration platform designed for makers, DIYers, mold enthusiasts, and anyone working with silicone, resin, or concrete. Just place your mold on top, activate the vibration, and let it do the heavy lifting:

bubbles rise to the surface and your casting material settles neatly into every tiny corner and groove.

✨ Smart Design, Easy to Print

  • Compact footprint: 100mm x 100mm
  • Built from two 3D printed plates joined by four column posts with mushroom-style clips and snap-fit locks — no screws required.
  • The bottom plate features 8 built-in slots for rubber feet, adding extra stability and grip during operation.
  • Prefer a clean base? A version without foot slots is also available.

🛠️ How to Assemble

Assembly is quick and tool-free — just how we like it:

  • All parts are snap-fit, no screws or glue required (except for a tiny dab of hot glue for the ESP32, if you wish).
  • The four column posts are printed in flexible TPU, allowing them to press-fit snugly into both the bottom and top plates.
  • Simply align the mushroom-like connectors and gently press the pieces together until they click into place.
  • Done! You’re ready to vibrate.

♻️ Recycled Motors, Maker-Grade Electronics (and a bit of hot glue)

The vibration system is powered by two recycled motors from an old PlayStation controller, wired to an ESP32 microcontroller that activates them at customizable intervals (code included!).

In true maker fashion, the ESP32 is secured to the bottom plate with hot glue. It’s not glamorous, but it’s practical:

no screws, no standoffs, no fuss — just a quick and solid mount that’s easy to remove if you ever decide to upgrade.

Think of it as a “thermally reversible engineering decision.” 😄
