Just got my first 3D printer, a Bambu A1 Combo, and quickly started to experiment with 3D design tools. I've uploaded my first few basic print profiles and started to try more complex designs

The hidden compartment can only be revealed if you know the secret! It is held shut by magnets so can only be opened by removing the silver base, rotating is by 90°, and reinserting it. This will pop the false base up, revealing the secret underneath.

Want to finally print something which will impress your partner? :-) This is the perfect Valentine's day gift to do just that!
This model prints in 4 parts, allowing you to insert LED's, battery etc, before assembling into 2 halves of a heart. Magnets bring both halves together while at the same time completing the circuit to turn the LED's on. The effect is a heart which lights up when it becomes whole :-)

For this project I only used the tools available in Bambu Studio, creating a primitive shape, adding a negative, and adding an SVG modifier to superimpose the image of the chess piece. It was great to see how quickly and easily a whole chess set could be produced without using any modelling software.
I plan to create a version 2 and would love your feedback on any detail or features you think I should add to improve the overall design.
Happy printing :-)

Fit's snugly over a 3-pin charging port which is commonly found on eScooters, eBikes, hoverboards, etc.
I specifically designed this for to fit my daughter hoverboard after the rubber cap which came with it broke after just one day. Due to the contour of the hoverboard I added a lip on one side of the fitting, ensuring it was also easy to remove for charging.

Please keep an eye on the first layer after inserting the magnet. My prints have always completed successfully, but rarely one of the strands of PLA may not adhere across the magnet and this can lead to a blemish on the final finish. I think if I increased that particular layer to 0.12mm it could remove the issue, but as it only happened on 1 or 2 prints I haven't fully experimented yet. I'd be keen for feedback on anyone who downloads and tries my model.

I found it difficult to extrude the eyes right next to the edge of the design (an issue with Onshape I could not solve). So there is a very small overhang, around 0.1mm, but it shouldn't detract from this being a nice print. Any advice on how to solve this, either in Onshape, or post processing clean up in Bambu Studio would be welcome.

I wanted to create a simple, yet fun, model to allow me with experimenting with designing models for use with the AMS. The face of the avocado is 0.6mm deep, 3 layers with the default 0.2mm layer height. This optimises for both print time and quality, while minimising wastage from the AMS

My first model which incorporates the full power of the AMS, as well as requiring a small amount of assembly to fit magnets. Although still relatively simple these Avocado keychains were much more challenging to design. From ensuring the pieces fit together snugly, to playing with numerous print settings to get the optimal results, and many failed attempts before arriving at a model I am truly happy with. Just need to get some more filament colours so I can get rid of the purple stone ;-)

A lovely little star to brighten up your kitchen.
This star is designed such that it prints beautifully with a chamfer on both top and bottom surfaces without the needs for supports.
There is a hole for a D6 x 2mm magnet. The current design and print profile creates an very snug fit which will hold the magnet in place and flush with the edge of the print without the need for glue.

Before designing this tag I had printed a few examples from others. It was interesting to learn that many use the pause feature which allows you to insert the tag mid-print, and has the advantage of producing a seamless design. However I wanted to have the flexibility of printing in 2 parts. The issue is that these prints tended to need to be glued together after, so I set out to create a design which snuggly clipped together without the need for glue... did I succeed?

I struggled to find simple, clean, 3D printed price tags which could be directly printed in a range of values from £1 to £10 so I created these. The tags are designed in such a way that only a single colour change is needed with the AMS minimising waste. I experimented with a number of finishes and found the Octagram Spiral gave a nice finish and unique look which works well with the overall design. Hope you like them and find them useful :-)

Great little fidget. Switch needs a bit of effort to move first time and then works perfectly

I tried a few different designs to get a timelapse whereby the printer clicks a button each layer to trigger an external camera. This one is by far the best, both print and instructions.

Works perfectly and I'm amazed at how something functional like this can be so easy to 3D print. One of my first AMS prints and printing colours horizontally gives a nice effect with minimal waste

A must for anyone starting out, one of my first longer print. Had a little trouble inserting the spring but after widening the hole a little it worked perfectly
