Vent Cover

This model, specifically designed for the Adria Twin Supreme, serves to conceal access to the Whale Boiler drain valve. Especially when frequently traveling during winter, it's essential to drain water from the boiler to prevent frost damage. The standard procedure involves removing the bench seat cushion and lifting the cover to access the valve – a very tedious process. Now, I only need to remove the cover, which adheres magnetically to the wall, and I have immediate access.

This part can certainly be used for other purposes; however, the collar height of the base should be adjusted. It protrudes approximately 2mm into the grid cover, serving as centering/guidance. The uploaded model is designed for a wall thickness of 30mm.

Printed in PETG, with 2 wall lines, 15% infill. A pause is incorporated after 6mm to insert 4 x 2 magnets measuring 10 x 2.5mm, readily available from various suppliers.

For installation, you will need a hole saw approximately 95-96mm in diameter and a countersink bit. Remember to use a sacrificial board beforehand to obtain clean edges and possibly masking tape to prevent imprinting the hole saw's base on the furniture wood. After drilling, initially position the base from the outside to mark the screw holes. Then, the base can be centrally mounted from the inside. Next, pre-drill and countersink the screw holes so that the chosen screws protrude approximately 0.5-1mm above the wood. The screws should have large heads to ensure sufficient magnet retention; I used 4 x 16mm screws.

The cover does not rattle during travel and has sufficient hold to remain in place even on rough terrain.
