MagSafe Magnetic Patch

This ingenious design, inspired by Lao Bao Ke Ji Jia's magnetic patches, transforms any accessory or item into a MagSafe magnetic accessory. For instance, attach it to a power bank to create a magnetic wired power bank, or to a portable hard drive to create a magnetic portable hard drive, and so on.

Required Magnet Specifications:

1. Sixteen C-shaped or seventeen O-shaped MagSafe strong magnets with an outer diameter of 54mm and an inner diameter of 46mm (The uploaded print configuration is directly compatible with 2mm and 4mm thick magnets. Other thicknesses less than 4mm can be accommodated through slicing adjustments, the method for which is explained below)
2. 10*4*2mm N52 strong magnets (Optional. If you prefer not to use these, you can print the version without the small tail. For the 2mm version, use one magnet; for the 4mm version, you can use one or two)

Printing Recommendations:

1. For enhanced adhesion, it is recommended to print using a smooth print surface.
2. To use MagSafe magnets of thicknesses less than 4mm, utilize the slicing software's cutting function. In the height field, enter "magnet thickness + 0.2," select only object B, and then execute the cut to obtain a model compatible with other magnet thicknesses.

Installation Instructions:

1. Using a model saw or small knife, cut the MagSafe magnets into sets of three. If the edges of the iron sheet protrude, use model pliers or sandpaper to smooth them. Remove any iron filings adhering to the magnets using blu-tack. You will need two sets in total.

   

2. Insert the magnets into the slots of the printed part with the iron sheet facing outwards. If they are too loose, secure them with adhesive. Apply double-sided tape to the exposed side of the magnets and trim any excess.

   

3. Remove the release liner from the double-sided tape and adhere the magnetic patch to the desired location.
