Description
Lathe
Part of a Series
This lathe is part of a series of several models (primarily workshop equipment) that I designed for my locomotive shed (N gauge). I will be releasing further models gradually.
The Model
This is my vision of an old, cast-iron lathe—one that might be found in any large workshop, locomotive shed, or maintenance facility, used for recreating old or damaged parts. The machine features a display in the upper left and six handwheels below for operation. Next to it is the tool rest, with ample space for machining larger components.
The model measures approximately 13 x 9 x 4 mm (scale 1:160 or N gauge). However, its size can easily be adjusted in Bambu Slicer to suit other scales, such as H0 (1:87) or tabletop, for instance.
Instructions
Given the model's diminutive size and delicate nature, a 0.2mm nozzle is absolutely essential for printing!
Printing with a larger nozzle will result in the loss of many details or prevent them from being printed altogether. The print profile includes the AMS option; you can print the lathe in two colors. This will, however, slightly increase the print time, to approximately 43 minutes (see photo).
Keep bastling
I always appreciate a photo or comment :)
