Description

============= BREAK NOTICE =========================

Hello 3D printing friends!

Due to work requirements, studies and home renovations we will be little to not active on MakerWorld for the next coming weeks. Should there be remarks / feedback that you would like to share and would love to see implemented in our work or certain models, please send us a DM as those will be much easier to find and read after coming back. General comments etc on models tend to get buried which is unfortunate and is something we would like to avoid as we take your feedback seriously.

We apologize for any inconvenience our absence might cause but rest assured all messages will be addressed upon our return to designing!

Cheers!

====================================================

Needed a display stand for some of my Geode Slices.

Instead of buying the metal ones, I opted to design one myself.

I tried to keep it relatively low profile since some geodes might have some see-through I and didn't want to much ‘stand’ showing.

The default ‘slot’ is 7mm wide and the model stands only 50mm tall.

There are 3 models:

Basic arched model

  • one for small to mid size slices

Basic arched + extrusion

  • for small, slimmer sizes that would benefit from standing upright (model has a small extrusion on the right arch)

Mini

  • for very small slices that can be displayed on their side

The models can be scaled to fit small sized geode slices. Take measurements of your geodes and then apply them accordingly in the slicer.

Refrain from using this design for heavier and bigger pieces as it will probably tumble over!

For these prints I didn't need to use supports but this might differ for your printer and or settings.

The provided profiles are support free prints.

If you like the model, please consider leaving a like and a rating with pictures of your makes! It is encouraging to see my creations out there.

Also consider leaving feedback regarding the models as it will help improve my overall skills as a beginner 3D designer!
