Advanced Egg Scale

Introduction

Have you ever wanted to know what size your eggs really are? Now you can with The Advanced Egg Scale! It is an almost fully 3D printed mechanical egg scale that works with every commonly used egg. All you need to do is put the egg into the cradle and let the scale do its thing. My design has no electronics to break, no calibration to mess up, and nothing complicated to set up. It prints fast, snaps right together, and work flawlessly. This design is great for homesteaders, backyard chicken keepers, or anyone who just wants to play around and measure different eggs.

Assembly Information

All the parts snap together except for the size indicator which requires a few drops of glue. I recommend putting the glue on the 3 corners and the middle of the indicator. My design is pretty much fully 3D printed except for the rubber bands (1.4x20mm Basic) which are linked below. If you don't use the linked rubber bands the scale will not be correct. Extra Information

The indicator has 3 sections which I color coded green, yellow, and red. The green section is for small chicken eggs anything smaller will not register. The yellow section is for the average chicken egg and small duck eggs. The red section is for the average duck and goose egg but also very large chicken eggs. Please Note that large store-bought chicken eggs are considered average.
