Description
Tripod Floor Lamp – When IKEA and the 3D Printer Go on a Date
Sometimes it doesn't take much: three wooden dowels, some PLA, an IKEA light fitting, and an idea. The result is this modern tripod floor lamp, which hovers somewhere between Scandinavian design, a maker project, and 'Why isn't this available to buy?'
The lamp stands on three 20 mm diameter wooden dowels and is illuminated by an IKEA STRÅLA E14 light fitting. A 28 mm diameter socket is provided for the fitting.
The lampshade was printed from Sunlu Transparent Black PLA. This creates a pleasantly subdued light with a cozy atmosphere. All other printed parts were made from Bambu Lab PLA Ivory White and form a nice contrast to the wooden legs.

⚠️ Safety Note ⚠️
Even if this is a 3D printing project: Electricity remains electricity.
Please check all electrical connections carefully and only use the lamp with professionally assembled components. Work on electrical systems should only be carried out by persons who know what they are doing.
Furthermore: PLA likes it cozy, but not hot. Only use LED bulbs with low heat generation and make sure that the light source does not get too hot. An overheated lampshade can deform or be damaged.
Why this lamp
✔ Modern Scandinavian look
✔ Easy to assemble
✔ Hidden cable routing on the leg
✔ Perfect combination of wood and 3D print
✔ Looks significantly better than a bare cable with a light bulb
Have fun printing – and if anyone asks where the lamp is from, you can calmly say: "It's not for sale. I printed it myself."
