Bill of Materials
Description
StickItBlox is a simple interlocking cube design made to print easily while still looking really clean and satisfying once assembled. Each side has cross-shaped connectors and cutouts that let the cubes slide and lock together in different ways, so you can stack them, build small shapes, or just keep them around as a desk toy to mess with.
I wanted these to be quick, reliable prints that don’t eat through a ton of filament. Each cube only uses around 9.35g of filament, which makes it easy to print a whole set in different colors without using much material. The shape is also optimized to print nicely on most standard FDM printers with very little tuning needed.
Tree supports are recommended for the cleanest results, but overall it’s a super straightforward print and beginner-friendly. The design works especially well in PLA, though PETG and other common materials should print fine too.
Recommended Print Settings
- 0.2mm layer height
- Tree supports enabled
- 10–20% infill
- PLA recommended
- 0.4mm nozzle
These are great for:
- Desk toys
- Fidgeting
- Shelf/display pieces
- Quick test prints
- Color swap projects
- STEM or geometry-inspired builds
Print a few in different colors and experiment with different combinations and patterns. The more you make, the more fun they get to connect together.
