Description

Based on my favourite Steam Controller Dock / Stand. I have made some small tweaks to both the original deisgn and the print profile for greater printing consistency.

Changes to the original design:

  • Reinforced the strength around the base of the post with a bevelled edge.
  • Added holes underneath for rubber adhesive feat. This was to stop the model from sliding around on my tabletop.
    • The ones I am personally using are 11.5mm diameter and 5.3mm high. The stand cutouts measure at 12.5mm diameter and 3mm deep. So the feet stick out approximately 2.3mm.
    • If there is a demand for more sizes, I will upload a panametric model!

Print profile changes:

  • 20 infill.
  • Infill pattern Gyroid.
  • Slowed the speed down when printing the post to ensure no artifacts would appear on the puck holder part of the model.

Assembly (same as original model):

  1. Start the cable routing from the bottom
  2. Sit the wireless puck into it's cradle
  3. Plug it in through the top
  4. Press the cable into it's channel to clean it up.
  5. There's also a dimple on the bottom to make the cable come out paraller to your desk.
