Description

I needed another push block for my jointer, and didn't like all the straight handled ones on makerworld.

This push block features a slanted handle, which I find to be easier and safer to use on a jointer or table saw, since it puts a bit more distance between your hand and the blades and is a little more ergonomic. It's pretty basic, but gets the job done. You can glue sandpaper or rubber (as I've done) to its bottom.

I've printed this on PLA, Make sure you set supports to your preference. This is a functional tool and it took me only a few minutes to model; you can probably make it a little cleaner and nicer, but what's the point? It does its job well.

A tip: if you've got some PETG as well as some PLA, try printing the support interface on PETG and the model in PLA – it'll make it much easier to remove and the support interface will be cleaner as well.

Also: you can change the size as you like it in the slicer. This one is 150mm x 75mm, which is the same size as the push block that came with my jointer.
