  • Super Glue x 1: For Affixing The Parts Together

Description

Description

A functional set of stairs to assist elderly cats, and small dogs. The model consists of 4 steps, 2 bottom stair brackets, 2 top stair brackets, 1 left square bracket, 1 right square bracket, and two stiffening rods. I haven't fully tested it's load capacity, but It handles my 20lb cat without issues.

Printing

For a uniform finish I would try using a smooth PEI build plate on the supports, and textured for the steps. Your mileage may vary however, as I do not currently own any smooth PEI plates. The hexagon pattern is made by using slicer modifiers to expose the sparse infill, make sure “Reduce Infill Retraction” is off to prevent stringing.

Size

The Model is 18" or 45cm tall, 17.5" or 44cm deep, and 9.75" or 25cm wide. Each piece is just barely small enough to fit on an A1's 256x256 build volume.

Assembly

Superglue is recommended to affix all the pieces together in a sturdy configuration. The pegs are merely there for alignment, they don't provide anything structurally.
