TTRPG Gridfinity

This is a simple accessory based on gridfinity and adapted for using as a battle grid for ttrpg (dungeons and dragons, specifically). Each field of the grid represents 1,5m or 5 ft in the game.

Base grid was made using gridfinity creator (https://gridfinitygenerator.com/en/baseplate). I've set a base plate for this use case to be connectable, 30mm grid unit size, 7 grids on Y axis and 7 grids on Z axis. Of course yours can be any other size, but remember to adjust other pieces accordingly!

Character/monster/NPC tokens of all sizes were created using another web based gridfinity creation tool (https://gridfinity.perplexinglabs.com/). There you can create your own “token” of any size. In order to do so, go to the linked webpage, select “gridfinity extended”, select height = 1, grid base row size = 30, grid base column size = 30. Grid rows and grid columns should be set to the size of the token you want to create (1x1 would be medium size creature, 2x1 would be large (long) size etc.). Of course yours can be any other size, but remember to adjust other pieces accordingly!

Spell grids were created by hollowing out 1x1 token in TinkerCAD, and then attaching those tiles together. Please note that the base of 1x1 hollowed out tile is so thin that you might experience adhesion issues while printing. To help countering that issue, I would recommend printing those slowly or adding a brim.
